All you need to know about BDESE
Employers with 50 or more employees must provide the Economic and Social Committee (CSE) and employee representatives with an economic, social and environmental database (BDESE).
The BDESE gathers information on the main economic and social orientations of the company. It includes mandatory information that varies according to the size of the company.

Updates and requirements
The information elements of the BDESE should be updated regularly. The update frequency must at least allow the CSE and the trade union delegates to have up-to-date information to carry out their missions successfully.
The update is therefore carried out at least once every 2 months.
Updates may be more frequent depending on CSE events or consultations. There are also more mandatory consultations in these businesses.
Consultations are more numerous and also concern social and environmental policies, and working conditions. There is additional consultation on Predictive Job and Skills Management (GPEC).
They are liable to a fine of €7,500.
In the event of difficulties in accessing BDESE information, for example if the BDESE is incomplete, the CSE may refer the matter to the judicial court in order to obtain the missing information.
